We are getting very close to our hopeful start date for our comprehensive plan project. We are wondering if there has been any interest from the students in this opportunity as we have not had any students contact us. We really feel that data analysis will be a key component to this project and are really hoping to fill this internship.
In addition, please take a look at the attached draft internship agreement. It has been created in the same format as one we have with Muskingum University.

Hello Dr. Dyer!

This is a follow-up to discussions you have had with my director, Jay Bennett, in regards to internship possibilities. We are in the very beginning stages of working towards a new Comprehensive Master Plan for the City of Zanesville. As part of this process, we can see value in having a GIS Intern to assist in data collection and analysis as we move through the various elements of the plan. I have attached a description of the position which outlines the type of expectations we will have for this person, which will include other potential projects outside of the master plan. We envision the intern starting mid to late September and working 15 hours/week for approximately 16 weeks, at $10 /hour. As we look to partner with the Ohio University Department of Geography, we also envision this person to have the ability to work from Athens with only occasional travels to Zanesville being expected.
