"How to Write a Competitive NSF GRFP application."

Summary:  The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees in fields within NSF's mission. The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant achievements in science and engineering research.

Eligibility:

·         US citizen, national or permanent resident

·         Graduating seniors and 1st and 2nd year graduate students

·         No more than 12 month of full-time graduate study as of Aug. 1, 2014, unless interruption of 2 consecutive years prior to Nov. 2014.

·         GRE scores are NOT required.

·         No GPA requirement, but typically above 3.6 (UG).


Benefits:
·         $32,000 annual stipend for up to 3 years
