    <p class="MsoNormal"><o:p>We have made arrangements to have an

        Emeriti group at the Jan. 12 (Sunday) basketball game with

        Akron. </o:p>It looks as if we have a group of 15 for our first

      outing in a special bloc of seats for emeriti without season

      tickets.&nbsp; The game starts at 6 p.m., so count on being INSIDE the

      Convo by 5:45 if you have not picked up your ticket or had it

      mailed to you in advance. Earlier is even better. (I will be there

      by 5:30.) If you are later than 5:45, your ticket will be at the

      Will Call window, which you will see as you go in the main front

      entrance of the Convo. <o:p></o:p></p>

    <p class="MsoNormal"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>Please send by e-mail to evarts

      @ohio.edu your reservation for tickets and exactly how many &nbsp;you

      want. Even if you have raised your hand in the Board meeting or

      general luncheon meeting, but have not paid yet, please send a

      definite reservation. You can bring the $10 for each ticket that

      night unless you see me between now and then and want to fork it

      over. &nbsp;Everyone with a definite reservation will be responsible

      for paying, even in iffy of bad weather, unless &nbsp;the game is

      entirely canceled. &nbsp;Remember &#8211; you may bring guests who are not

      Emeriti members, as long as you will be responsible for their

      payment. Your guests also may include children as long as you are

      responsible for their safety and behavior. (Children under 2 do

      not need a ticket, but also don&#8217;t have a separate seat.)<o:p></o:p></p>

    <p class="MsoNormal">We are not going to arrange for the

      &#8220;entertainment room&#8221; this time. Let&#8217;s try just attending the game

      as a group &nbsp;first; we can decide at the time of a future game if

      we want to go for a room to use during intermission. &nbsp;The cost is

      $7 apiece, hardly more than most people spend at the refreshment

      kiosks, but I did not sense a large interest in having a separate

      room. We can re-evaluate when we have a little experience.<o:p></o:p></p>
