Dear Emeriti and Friends:

This Wednesday, 4/8, is Ohio University Giving Day. Giving Day is a time in which you can support the university advancement endowment accounts which in turn support Ohio University students.

I am writing to ask that you consider making a contribution to one of the endowment accounts which support the activities of the Ohio University Emeriti Association.

The association itself has two accounts, a general account and one which supports improvements to the Emeriti Park on campus.

In the past few years, we have been using spending account funds from the general account to support the Undergraduate Student Travel Fund. This fund provides support for OHIO undergraduate students to attend professional conferences to network and present their research and creative activity accomplishments.

This year we have used spending account funds from the Emeriti Park endowment to purchase a new fountain for the park pond to replace the old fountains which were nonfunctional.

Your gifts to these endowments will help us continue to support OHIO students and campus facilities.

I have included below the link to the OHIO Giving Day launching page where you can make a gift. If you type in "Emeriti" in the selection box, you will see the endowment accounts which support the Ohio University Emeriti Association activities.
