Reservation reminder:  This month's Emeriti luncheon is scheduled for next week Thursday January 19 at 11:30 AM at the Athens Country Club.  The cost is $23 per person. Please have exact change or a check made payable to the OU Emeriti Association.  The deadline for reservations is Tuesday the 17th at noon at which time the reservation count will be called in.  If you haven't already done so, email Tom Franz at <franz at ohio.edu<mailto:franz at ohio.edu>> with your luncheon reservation.

The luncheon will be served buffet style and the menu will be:
   •  Chicken with a Marsala wine sauce
   •  Mashed Potatoes
   •  Green Vegetable (what's in season or what they can get)
   •  light dessert
   •  coffee,tea,water

As many of you have heard by now, Emeriti Vice President Scott Moody passed away after an accident at home.  Emeriti President Rosemary Rossiter notes, "Scott was a most valued member of the Ohio University Emeriti Association.  For many years he volunteered to recruit speakers for the Association’s luncheons, drawing upon his wide-ranging interests from historical societies to environmental and science interests. Thanks to his thoughtful service, emeriti were both entertained and intellectually challenged.  Scott was always a gentleman as well as a scholar.  He will be sorely missed."
