[Emeritiassoc] independent newspaper for Athens

Dear Emeriti:

We experienced a large problem with the hybrid Emeriti luncheon on March 17.  I apologize that those on zoom could only hear the speaker.  Every computer seems different but we will try to correct the situation for the next zoom hybrid in April.

Our speaker last week, Corrine Colbert, formerly at The Athens News, spoke about an independent newspaper which is being created to better serve the community. Here are a couple of details:

There's nothing online yet other than a vision statement, so stay tuned for future posts.
  *   The creators don't have a set timeline yet, but hope to start publishing content before the year is out, if not sooner.
