 The celebration of Joe Berman's multi-faceted life will not be traditional but It will be live-streamed. Lynda Berman urges you to stay home, stay safe.

If you choose to come, First United Methodist Church protocols will be enforced: Masks required, social distancing while standing, and several feet of spacing between family groups in the pews even so the new strain of virus remains a threat. Former students and friends from across the US are coming to speak (and potentially bringing germs.)

Note: Lynda will not be receiving hugs.

If you choose to come, the university has kindly arranged for us to use OU parking Lots  36, 38, 39 on December 29 from 12 - 5pm. You will not receive a parking ticket if you park in those lots during those times.  Please let others know - especially older friends.

The lots are marked. To reach them, approach 2 College Avenue. Go down the alley on the left side of the church. It looks like a dead-end. It doesn’t. Follow it to the right and “meander" through Lots 38, then 39, then 41.

These limited parking lots are in front of Seigfred and Glidden and behind Trisolini. If they are full, continue through to Union street, turn right. At the first light turn right again.  You will have come full circle to the church on the right and the city parking garage on the left at the next traffic light.  Turn left to find the garage entrance on Washington Street. You’ll need quarters.

Interacting to plan this memorial  with those who love me and loved Joe has sustained me. Thank you for your many kindnesses.
