<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#44546A">The competition aims at providing design experience to students interested in pursuing an education and/or career in solid waste management. The program will encourage student involvement in WASTECON, provide
students real world experience in solving complex solid waste management issues in a supportive and fun environment, provide students an opportunity to display their talents and provides a networking opportunity for students to connect with potential employers.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#44546A">This year, the deadline for students to submit a Team Information Form has been extended to
</span><span style="color:red">April 15, 2016. </span><span style="color:#44546A">WASTECON will be held in Indianapolis, IN (August 22-25, 2016). For potential scholarships to assist teams with travel and accommodation costs to WASTECON, contact the
