The Computer Science Department at the University of Memphis has two faculty positions open:

Position Summary

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Memphis is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor, beginning Spring 2023. The visiting professor will teach undergraduate/graduate courses (primarily Data Science), participate in curriculum development and improvement, and advise students.

Minimum Position Qualifications

Applicants should hold a PhD in computer science or a related field. College level teaching experience is preferred. Research in CS related areas is a plus.

Position Summary

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Memphis is seeking candidates for Assistant Professor position(s) beginning Fall 2023. Qualified candidates in all areas of computer science are invited, while candidates with core expertise in emerging areas of systems, software engineering, theory, and cybersecurity are particularly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates are expected to develop externally sponsored research programs, lead or participate in collaborative research projects within Computer Science and beyond, teach both undergraduate and graduate courses and provide academic advising to students at all levels. Candidates from minority and underrepresented groups are highly encouraged to apply.

Minimum Position Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, or a related discipline, and be committed to excellence in both research and teaching a diverse student body.
