Best, Dr.J

Dear All,
This is Jacob Schaupp, a CSMS grad and I will represent the CS grad students during the EECS retreat next week.
We will have an opportunity to talk to the EECS Advisory Board and faculty about CS grad students’ concerns, requests, and other issues you would like to share with me. All your comments will be confidential and anonymous. Please reply to the questions below by sending an email to js400421 at ohio.edu<mailto:js400421 at ohio.edu> ASAP but no later than next week Monday 11/14.

Please comments:
1. What is the biggest issue that you are running into as you work towards the completion of your degree?
2. What are your thoughts towards the possibility of offering fully online courses based on previously recorded video lectures with occasional meetings with staff to guide classroom studies?
3. If new classes would be offered, what topics would you like to see these courses cover? (I.e. mobile development, cloud, general software development) Or are there any classes listed on the course catalog that you would like to see offered?
4. Is there a research area in computer science that is not an interest of the current staff in the department and where hiring such a professor would be beneficial?
