[Eecs_phd] Undergraduate Research Info Session-Wednesday April 19th at ARC 315 from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The talk is going to be held on Wednesday April 19th at ARC 315 from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm



Dr. Maarten will be speaking first from 6:00 - 6:30pm, with Dr. Chenji following from 6:30 - 7:00 pm and lastly Dr. Wilhelm from 7:00 - 7:30 pm



Pizza will be served at 5:30 to give students time to get food and settle down in their seats, at 5:45 the sponsoring student organizations will give a quick presentation on their respective organization.



The student organizations who will be sponsoring the event are Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu, ACM and IEEE.



The purpose for this talk is to break the ice for a series of talks that I will be coordinating next year Fall 2017/Spring 2018. The purpose of these talks is to get undergraduate students interacting with professors outside of the classroom while exposing them to the work that is being done in the Russ College.



I want to provide an environment where students can learn about how their coursework can be applied, as well as to shine light on the research professors are conducting with the hopes to get motivated/interested students working with professors earlier in their undergraduate career.
