Are you a mechanical, energy, chemical, or electrical engineering junior, senior, or graduate student?  Are you looking for a challenging yet rewarding internship experience in one of the fastest growing industries in Ohio?  AEP Energy is looking for qualified candidates to assist with research and analysis in the highly competitive energy industry. Candidates should be upperclassman or graduate engineering students. This is a paid internship with compensation based on previous experience.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Work on strategic team to investigate business potential and viability of certain energy storage systems
Supports ongoing energy projects and tasks
Assists larger team with energy audits
Conducts individual energy use analysis
Researches specific wholesale electricity market topics and issues
Develops analysis and tools for energy sales and engineering support

Knowledge & Skill Requirements
Proficient in building and using spreadsheet tools and analysis writing technical reports and recommendations
Critical attention to detail
Ability to work alone or in a team
Strong interest in energy, economics, business, and/or electricity markets

Education & Experience Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering disciplines
