Bobcat CareerLink is Ohio University's one-stop online job portal for co-ops, internships and full-time employment. Employers posting jobs in the database are often OU alumni or an employer that is specifically targeting OU students in their hiring process. To access the database, please visit: https://ohio-csm.symplicity.com/students.

All current students already have an account created. You can sign in via Facebook or LinkedIn. Alternatively, you can sign in via your username, which is your OU email address minus the @ohio.edu (Example: ab123456). The first time you sign in, click "Forgot Password" and a generic password will be emailed to you that you can change.

Upload your resume to start applying for job openings. Once you upload your resume, it takes 24-48 hours for a staff member of the Career and Leadership Development Center to approve it. You need an approved resume to apply for postings in the database. Under the "jobs and internships" tab, click "Bobcat CareerLink Job Postings" for postings targeting Ohio University students. Click "NACElink Extended Job Search" for postings outside of the OU network.

While many employers post jobs in the database, some employers do not. Rather, these employers will simply log in with an employer account and do a resume search. If they like your resume, they may contact you and ask if you would like to interview for their open positions. Therefore, if you do not have a resume posted in the database, you are missing out on these possible employment opportunities.

If you have any problems using your Bobcat CareerLink account, please contact Christi Lee Gang in the Career and Leadership Development Center at leec at ohio.edu<mailto:leec at ohio.edu> and she can assist.

Attached is a master list of recommended websites to assist with your job search. Remember that it is always a good idea to follow up with a company after you have applied to a job posting online in order to check the status of your application. A good time to follow up would be two weeks after the application deadline. If no deadline is listed, follow up two weeks after you apply.

For questions involving your job search, please contact Dean Pidcock, Director of Professional Experiences, in Stocker 119 or email him at pidcock at ohio.edu<mailto:pidcock at ohio.edu>.
