A Programming Opportunity at Ohio University

Purpose: The Auditory Evoked Potential Laboratory (AEP Lab) at Ohio University is looking for a student who is interested in and capable of software programming using the C++ language.

Job Description: The AEP Lab is aimed to study how the human brain responds to a variety of sounds, and we would like to develop a system of our own. Specifically, we are asking a student programmer to create a custom-made software that can be used to collect experimental data.

Eligibility: Qualified candidates must be:

  1.  a current graduate or undergraduate student at Ohio University
  2.  familiar with the C++ language
  3.  able and willing to work 10 hours a week

Pay Rate: $10 per hour

Start and End Dates: The start and end dates of this programming opportunity are negotiable based on mutual agreements between the student and the AEP Lab Director.

Terms and Conditions of This Programming Opportunity:

1.      It is expected that the student will use the C++ language to write codes for this project.

2.      The student programmer will be required to work in the AEP Lab or in Dr. Jeng's office, where the equipment and devices are available.

3.      The student programmer will communicate with the AEP Lab Director on a weekly basis to report progress and to discuss any questions or concerns that may arise.

4.      All materials generated throughout this project are proprietary properties of the AEP Lab. These materials include the design and drafts of this project, C++ source codes, developed software, and any documents directly or indirectly generated throughout the development of this project.
