My name is Mercedes Trescott, and I'm a Talent Acquisition & Retention Specialist with Momentive Performance Materials at our Friendly, West Virginia manufacturing site.

I'm reaching out because we currently have an opening for an Electrical Reliability Engineer, and I immediately thought of Ohio University's outstanding Electrical Engineering program and the exceptional graduates it produces. Over the past year, we've built a strong partnership with Ohio University's Chemical Engineering program through our co-op and internship opportunities, and we've had the privilege of hiring and developing several outstanding Bobcats. As we continue to grow those relationships, we'd love to expand our partnership into the Electrical Engineering program and begin building a similar pipeline of talented early-career engineers.

This is a rare opportunity for an early-career electrical engineer. While many reliability engineering positions require several years of industrial experience, we've intentionally structured this role to welcome new graduates who are eager to learn and build their careers in manufacturing. The engineer hired into this position will work alongside experienced professionals while gaining hands-on experience with electrical distribution systems, substations, motor controls, PLCs, protective relays, variable frequency drives, and other critical plant systems in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
