[Eecs_mscs] Department of Homeland Security Now Accepting Applications for the NEW DHS Cybersecurity Internship Program

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is pleased to announce the launch of its first DHS Cybersecurity Internship Program for currently enrolled graduate students who have completed 2 academic years of a graduate level education, a master's degree, or a Ph.D. This program is part of the Department's efforts to build a cybersecurity talent pipeline utilizing strategic partnerships with secondary, post-secondary institutions, other key stakeholders in academia and the private sector.

The DHS Cybersecurity Internship Program is specifically designed to provide graduate students interested in cybersecurity an opportunity to apply educational instruction to real-life cyber challenges and expose students to the unique cybersecurity careers available at DHS. Through this experience students will learn about the DHS cybersecurity mission by completing hands-on cybersecurity work.


Participating DHS Components include: Customs and Border Protection (CBP) - Office of Information and Technology (OIT); DHS Headquarters - Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO); Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)-Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO); National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD); Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) - Cyber Division; United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) - Office of Information and Technology (OIT); United States Coast Guard (USCG); and United States Secret Service (USSS).


THIS Internship is not to exceed SEPTEMBER 30, 2017.
