My name is Adam and I am with the Electronic Manufacturing & Assembly Collaborative (EMAC). Supported by the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) and the Department of Defense IBAS program, we connect industry, academia, and government to develop a stronger, more prepared workforce in electronics manufacturing.

I'm excited to share a free, hands-on STEM opportunity for students — the EMAC Electronics Skills Challenge, taking place during the SMTA Ohio Valley Expo.

About the Challenge
The EMAC Electronics Skills Challenge is designed to give students real-world experience in one of the most critical skills in the electronics industry — soldering and workmanship. Participants will:
·         Practice and test soldering skills
·         Compete for best quality and craftsmanship
·         Win prizes and recognition
·         Network with electronics and manufacturing industry professionals
·         Gain exposure to career pathways in electronics and manufacturing
