About the Ohio Cyber Range Institute
The Ohio Cyber Range Institute (OCRI), housed at the University of Cincinnati (UC), is a partnership among state agencies and academic institutions led by UC, the Ohio Adjutant General and Cyber Ohio. OCRI's mission is to advance cybersecurity education, workforce, and economic development. OCRI administers Ohio Persistent Cyber Improvement (O-PCI), a whole-of-organization cybersecurity training that is provided free to local government entities in the state of Ohio.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will be mission-driven, team-oriented, charismatic, and want to assist with the delivery of cybersecurity training to local government entities in the state of Ohio. The student will provide support in outreach to local governments, facilitation of meetings with local governments, logistical planning with their points of contact, and lead launch meetings with public officials.
Essential Functions
*                    Conduct outreach regarding cybersecurity training opportunities to local governments in Ohio.
*                    Lead virtual meetings with local governments to receive cybersecurity training
*                    Facilitate meeting agendas to a wide range of public officials
*                    Study and communicate basic cybersecurity concepts and the current threat landscape
*                    Serve as an external representative for OCRI and O-PCI to government officials who may be unfamiliar with the work of the Institute and associated training
*                    Speak in a clear, concise, and consistent manner
*                    Demonstrate discretion related to confidential information

Required Education
*                    Must be currently enrolled in an institute of higher education located in the state of Ohio

Additional Qualifications Considered
*                    Mission-driven and self-motivated
*                    Experience working within academic setting
*                    Public speaking experience
*                    Cybersecurity education, training or experience
*                    Local government experience

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
*                    Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
