Looks like the season is off to a good start. All the nests our project protects are laid in or near the sand traps or hatchery boxes on several holes of the golf courses.</div>

For some unknown reason road killed terrapins are not common on the Diamond Causeway. In all my 33 years of driving back and forth to the UGA Marine Science Campus I have seen very few, as compared to the Tybee Road or Jekyll causeway. A number of mammal
species aren't so lucky. </div>

encounter on the U.S. Highway 80 causeway between Wilmington and Tybee islands.</div>
