) is shaping up nicely! Presentations and discussions will cover topics ranging from population and nesting biology to field techniques and management strategies. The implementation of bycatch reduction devices is a topic receiving a great deal of attention
in North Carolina (as well as other states in the terrapin’s range), and our keynote speaker for the symposium, Mr. Joseph Facendola (Biologist, North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries) will discuss this topic from a management perspective.
