The first nesting female documented on Jekyll Island was cataloged on Tuesday, 26 April 2022, and the first nesting female documented on Skidaway Island was cataloged Wednesday, 27 April 2022. For geographic reference, Skidaway Island is ~60 miles north of Jekyll Island.

We are usually the last to see nesting but we have seen a few that have come out of brumation.
