On Skidaway Island, Savannah, Georgia, we had our first nest April 28 and as of today, May 3, we are up to 6 nests.

The first documented adult female road encounters were observed on the Downing-Musgrove causeway between Brunswick and Jekyll Island, Georgia, on 26 April 2021. Today, 3 May 2021, saw the northward progression of nesting season with the first female road encounter on the U.S. Highway 80 causeway between Wilmington and Tybee islands.
