[OU Dems] Week 1 Minutes!

Happy Week 1 Everybody! Here are the minutes from tonight's meeting.

Events:


Wednesday 8/26: We will be having a dorm storm on West Green to register students to vote.  Everyone should meet at the West Green sign between Sargent and James Hall at 6 pm.


Thursday 8/27: We will be tabling at College gate from 11 am-4 pm to spread the word about our organization and to register students to vote.


Sunday 8/30: Help us go through old College Dems boxes and take the time to hang out as an organization.  It will be from 2-4 pm at 1 Community Dr., Apatment 701 (Riverpark builing 1).  Located near South Green.


Monday 8/31: We will be chalking and Flyering to spread the word about our organization.  We will be meeting in Front Room Coffee shop (top of Baker) at 8 pm.  Bring tape and/or a stapler if you have one.


The Secretary position is open on our exec board.  If you were a voting member last year you are eligible to run and vote for this position.  Nominations will be held at our week 3 meeting with the election the following week.  Let a member of exec. board know if you are interested.


Roundtable:


Wednesday 8/26: Flavor of the week will be in the Bobcat Student Lounge (Bottom of Baker) from 12-2 pm.  This weeks flavor is Lemon.


Wednesday 8/26: If you are interested in the way games are made, the Game Dev. Association will be holding their first meeting in the Grid Lab (Basement of Scott Quad) at 7 pm.


Wednesday 8/26: Bobcats for Bernie is having a meeting at the Athens Community Center from 7-8:30 pm.


There is a Mock Trial team being started at OU.  If you are interested contact Alyssa Alcorn (440) 213-6605.


Pi Sigma Alpha is the Political Science Honors Fraternity.  If you are interested in joining contact Ted Sorrell at ts745911 at ohio.edu


There is currently a local committee supporting Ted Strickland.  If you would like to get involved with this contact Jake Fenzl at (614) 315-8106.


Sorority Recruitment is coming up next weekend and it is not too late to sign up.  If you are interested in going through recruitment you can visit the Greek Life office on the 3rd floor of Baker or contact Hailey Butterfield (614) 980-5010.
