College Democrats Meeting Minutes- April 6, 2010

First off, again welcome to all new members! It was great to see so many new
faces at the meeting!

Thank you to all who participated and helped at the Ted Strickland
fundraiser! To those who helped and had a picture taken with Ted Strickland,
your picture will be emailed out later this week.

Relay for Life Committee meeting will be held this Thursday, April 8 at 7pm
in Front Room with “Trash for Cash” directly following in the Riverpark
apartments.

The new fundraising goal for our Relay for Life team this year has been set
to $2,600.00 and our current total is approximately $2,167.82!! Great job so
far! Keep up the good work!

You can sign up for our relay team online! Just go to this website:
http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?pg=entry&fr_id=23472 and click on join a
team. Our team name is the Trotting Donkeys!

Phone banking will be held Thursday and Friday from 5:30-7:30pm, and
Saturday 12-2pm at 77 1/2 East State Street. Please bring your cell phones!!

Chalking and flyering will be held next Monday at 8pm. Meet at Front Room!

The D.C. trip will tentatively be Memorial Day Weekend; details on cost and
trip information will be given later in the quarter.

College Democrats of Ohio Convention is April 17 at Ohio State University.
Rides will leave Baker Center at 10am and the program is scheduled to run
from 12-3pm. Activities will include training and different workshops among
other things.

 Roundtable:

Phi Alpha Delta (Pre-law Frat) will be holding its rush next Monday in
Bentley Room 306 from 7-9pm and Tuesday in Bentley Room 227 from 7-9pm

Bone Marrow Swabbing Meeting will be held Friday at 3:30pm in Baker Room
233. Email Marika Bresler at mb571909 at ohio.edu with questions

College Democrats t-shirts are for sale for $15.00; if you are interested in
purchasing them, they will be on sale at the next meeting

Generations of Resistance workshops will be held this Friday from 5:30-7:30
in the Baker Multicultural Center

Emily Harper would like help moving out of her dorm from West Green to South
Green. Contact her at 330-727-4510 if you have a car and would like to help.
She has offered to buy lunch for anyone willing to help her move.

Essaymag.com, an online student magazine, is hosting an orientation at 6pm.
Wednesday April 7 in the Rollins room in Alden. Email mm174207 at ohio.edu with
questions or if you would like to contribute to the magazine.
