Ohio defeats South Florida to advance to the Sweet 16, and increased the school record for most wins (29-7) in a season.

Mar. 24: "We Are Family" Volunteer Day
Join us in volunteering with the We Are Family Senior Outreach Network and help the chapter to show compassion by bringing companionship into the homes of the elderly.


We Are Family serves seniors in the Shaw, North Capitol Street, Adams-Morgan, Petworth, and Columbia Heights neighborhoods. They bring advocacy, services, organizing, and companionship into the homes of the elderly, while helping to build friendships across boundaries like race, class, religion, age, culture, and sexual orientation.

The DC area Admitted Students Reception is a chance for area high schools students and their families to ask questions to Admissions staff and Alumni about life at Ohio University.

Mar. 28: Women in Philanthropy Happy Hour
Help WIP kick off their fundraising drive to raise money for a scholarship to benefit an Ohio University student who chooses to intern in the Washington, DC area. 



Sip and relax at Science Club. Catch up with old friends, connect with new faces and make a difference. Science Club is graciously donating proceeds from happy hour drink ticket sales.

April - August: Nation's Capital Alumni Softball Team
Come out and play Ohio Alumni Softball, back for our 9th season in the Capital Alumni Network league. This will be a spring/summer season played April through August with a 14 game regular season and a post season tournament.

Location: National Mall/Monument Grounds
Washington, DC (Regular Season) and Goddard Space Flight Center (Tournament)

Schedule:
Regular Season: TBD
Tournament: August 11/12, and 18/19

The cost will be $60 and games will be on weekday evenings and on weekends.

On April 12, we’re putting all of our resources into celebrating Ohio University alumni. 
Please join us in celebration of over 200 classes of Ohio students and the contributions they’ve made to the university and the world.

May 5: Virginia Gold Cup with University Row

Saturday, May 5th, All Day

The Nation's Capital Chapter is participating in the Virginia Gold Cup and partnering with Virginia Tech again for 2012 
University Row will have a Best Dressed contest, and some friendly inter-school games pitting tents against each other in light-hearted competition. 

Our specially priced package includes the following: 
•Round-trip charter bus with restrooms from Ballston Commons Mall with flexible departure times 
•Va Tech Tent situated on secure North Rail University Row

The winning golf team will qualify to go to the legendary Pinehurst Resort (No. 2 & 4) to play in the ACURA College Alumni Team Championship. Compete for the Acura Alumni Cup in this 36-hole best-ball competition.
