Apr. 14: OUr Day & April Happy Hour - VA
On April 14, we’re putting all of our resources into celebrating Ohio University alumni. 
Please join us in celebration of over 200 classes of Ohio students and the contributions they’ve made to the university and the world. 
Join us in Arlington at our rotating monthly happy hour to help celebrate this day! 
Come out and mingle with DC area Ohio Alumni! 

Date: April 14 (Thursday) 

Time: 6:30 – 9:30 PM 

Venue: Ri Ra Irish Pub

Please join in the festivity of the day, even if you can't join us in person!

Flash your school-spirit by wearing green and white, or dust off your old Bobcat gear and wear it out on the town. 
You can pick up a pin for your suit or if you’re really serious, put an Ohio decal on your car. 
Browse through old photos from your college years and post them on Facebook or Flickr. 
Update your Facebook status or Twitter feed with an Ohio theme (“Like this if you’re a Bobcat.”). 
Choose a beautiful photo of College Green for your computer wallpaper. 
You could also contact an old roommate or email your favorite Ohio professor to let him or her know how much you enjoyed their class.

Apr. 16 - Aug. 13: Nation's Capital Alumni Softball Team
Come out and play Ohio Alumni Softball, back for our 8th season in the Capital Alumni Network league. 
This will be a spring/summer season with a 14 game regular season and a post season tournament. 

Location: National Mall/Monument Grounds 

Washington, DC (Regular Season) and Goddard Space Flight Center (Tournament) 

The cost is $60 (est.) and games will be on evenings and weekends.

Apr. 17: Hagerstown Suns Baseball Game
Come out and see the opening weekend home debut of Washington Nationals Phenom, Bryce Harper, 
for the Hagerstown Suns along with other Ohio Alumni! 
This game is part of our "Summer of Baseball" series*

May 7: 2011 Virginia Gold Cup with University Row
UNIVERSITY ROW, the VIRGINIA GOLD CUP
Saturday, May 7th, All Day

The Nation's Capital Chapter is participating in the Virginia Gold Cup for the first time in 2011. 
We are partnering with Virginia Tech this year!

This is the 13th annual outing to the Virginia Gold Cup for the University Row. 
Eleven Anchor tents, 60 alumni clubs, and over 1500 patrons will be in attendence.

Once again University Row will have a Best Dressed contest, and "new for 2011" there will also be some friendly inter-school games pitting tents against each other in light-hearted competition. 

Our specially priced package includes the following: 
•Round-trip charter bus with restrooms from Ballston Commons Mall with flexible departure times 
•VT Tent situated on secure North Rail University Row 
•Open Bar - beer, wine, rail drinks, soda, juice, water

Come out and have a good time as we raise money for a scholarship to support a DC area student attending Ohio University.

The winning golf team will qualify for an expenses-paid trip to go to the legendary Pinehurst Resort to play in the ACURA College Alumni Team Championship. 
The winning team will compete for the Acura Alumni Cup in this 2-day, 36-hole best-ball competition.

Leon Harris, News Anchor for WJLA-ABC7, will be joining us as our Guest Speaker for the Post-Tournament BBQ and Awards ceremony!

Times: 11:30am free driving range/Check-in opens 

             12:30pm putting contest 

              1:00pm shotgun start 

              6:00pm (approx.) post-tournament dinner & awards
