Feb. 1: Gluck's Armide Opera at the Kennedy Center
Join the Nation's Capital Chapter for an evening at the Kennedy Center!!

Gluck's Armide is one of the masterpieces of the 18th century, intense and psychologically complex yet grand in its proportions. With this opera, Gluck both looks back to the traditions of lyric tragedy established by Lully and anticipates the romanticism of Berlioz and Wagner. A truly extraordinary cast brings Gluck's ravishing music to life. The New York Baroque Dance Company, under the direction of Artistic Director Catherine Turocy, creates the visual spectacle in this concert production with dance, chorus, and orchestra. Sung in French with English surtitles.

For the first time we will have a happy hour in the Columbia area of Maryland at the Rams Head in historic Savage.

This year Ohio University and the Capital Alumni Network are partnering with ShamrockFEST to help alumni attend one of the best events in the DC area, and raise money for the Susan G Komen Global Race For The Cure.

April - August: Alumni Softball Team
Come out and play Ohio Alumni Softball, back for our 7th season in the Capital Alumni Network league. This will be a spring/summer season played April through August with a 14 game regular season and a post season tournament.
