Please see below the instruction form ISFS director regarding DS2019. You should start looking into the flight options now, and book a ticket as soon as you receive the passport.

Because the school has started, I may not be able to meet you at the Columbus Airport, which is 80 miles from Athens. There is a Gobus running twice daily between the Columbus Airport (right outside the luggage pickup area) and OU Campus, which costs only $15 and takes 2 hours to get to Athens. [They just changed their website, and I haven't been able to find their new schedule yet. I'll email you the info when I have it.]

Within a week or two, shouldn't be more than two weeks from now. I have asked him to let me know immediately when he receives his visa and passport in the mail from the consulate, which should be within a couple of days; then he can book his flight.

Professor Jinxue Xu has been granted the visa to visit OU, but it does not appear to be feasible for him to arrive by the specified starting date of Sept. 1. Please advise whether or not he would need an up dated DS2019, and if so, please issue one ASAP to avoid further delay.

Hi, Prof. Zhu,
By consulting with Shenyang Consulate of US, they tell me that if I plan to arrive later than the start date on my DS2019, I must notify my sponsoring department and ISFS immediately and may need an updated DS2019 depending on my arrival date. And the updated DS2019 needs to be re-signed by Visa Officer. Please give me some suggestion. Although the visa has been approved, it will need several days for me to obtain the passport with visa mailed by US Consulate.
