[Cssa-L] CSSA 2013-14 Election

Dear Chinese Students and Scholars,

Attached please find the proposed procedure for the election of 2013-14 CSSA Leadership Team, which is the first step in the CSSA Reconstitution Process as announced on Oct. 9. The second step is to conduct a systematic review and revision of the current CSSA Constitution, which will happen after the new CSSA Leadership Team has been elected into office.

In order to receive university funding through the International Student Union to host the 2014 Chinese New Year Celebration, the new CSSA officers must take office by Oct. 31. Therefore, the election date is set to Wednesday, Oct. 30, and will be conducted by on-line voting. Details are in the attached document.

A Mobilization Meeting has been scheduled for this Sunday, Oct. 13 in ARC 102 at 7:00 PM, where the attached plan will be deliberated, and questions about the CSSA Reconstitution and Election will be explained by Prof. Zhu and Prof. Chen.

Since the CSSA Email List will be used exclusively for information dissemination, and for deliberation of important issues, please encourage your friends to register for the list at:

Please spread the word, and mobilize as many students and scholars as possible to volunteer as candidates for CSSA Office, to vote, and to take part in the deliberation and revision of the CSSA Constitution.
