<div class="">Although we thought we were finished with revisions of the code, one minor one came to our attention when going over some comments from David Marjanovic that we received several years ago but overlooked this one. He pointed out that the current
wording of Article 7.1 is internally contradictory. Here is the current wording:</div>
<div class="">"7.1. Establishment of a name can only occur after the publication date of
<span style="font-style: italic;" class="">Phylonyms: a Companion to the PhyloCode</span>, the starting date for this code.”</div>

<div class="">We would like to change this to the following: "7.1. Establishment of a name can only occur through publication in
<i class="">Phylonyms: a Companion to the PhyloCode</i>, or in another work after the publication date of
<i class="">Phylonyms</i>, the starting date for this code.”</div>

<div class="">Because this is just a clarification and does not change the way the code functions, we do not feel that a formal vote of the CPN is required. However, if anyone objects to this change, please email this listserv by Friday (Oct. 26). There is
no need to comment if the change is fine with you. If no comments are received by Friday, we will go ahead and make this change.</div>
