David,
Although knowledge of programming is important, it is already represented on the committee by the two Mikes (assuming that Mike Taylor agrees to help). What you have to offer is a detailed knowledge of the PhyloCode and the ICZN, and a willingness to think carefully about the broad nomenclatural implications of proposed rules. I already suggested your name to Nico as a possible committee member but I will tell her now that you volunteered.
Phil

Thank you for offering, Mike. I will relay your message to Nico. If
others on the CPN would like to volunteer, there is still time.
Well, I do, but if Mike Keesey, Mike Taylor and Ellinor Michel are all
on board, I don't think I'd be of much use. I don't have any particular
qualifications; I'm not a programmer or for that matter have any
experience with publishing.
