[CPN] nomination for CPN secretary

Dear CPN members,

I nominate David Marjanovic for Secretary of the CPN.   On October 14, I nominated Dave Tank for Chairperson.  Both candidates have agreed to serve if elected.  No other nominations have been sent to this listserv.  I suggest that if no other nominations are received by next Monday (Oct. 24), we consider the two Davids to have been elected by consensus.  If you disagree with this procedure, please email this listserv and suggest an alternative.  The ISPN bylaws do not dictate a procedure for electing the officers of the CPN, so it is up to us how we want to do it.  The following is all the bylaws state in this regard: "A Chairperson and Secretary shall be elected annually by the membership of the CPN for a one-year term and shall take office on 1 September. The Chairperson and Secretary may serve for up to three consecutive one-year terms, and shall not be eligible to serve again in the same office until one year has elapsed since completing the third consecutive term."  We are a couple of months late in electing the officers, but there was no business brought to the CPN until Nico contacted us two weeks ago.
