<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">My name is Injung Lee, and I’m an assistant professor at Northern Illinois University. My colleagues (Dr. Vincent Marasco at Adler University and Kristin Lee at Northern Illinois University) and I are conducting
a study of the experiences of students at or over the age of 40 (nontraditional students) in counselor education. This study aims to identify what these individuals experience and how they make meaning of these experiences to provide them with an empowering
and nurturing learning environment.</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> </span><span style="font-size:12.0pt"> This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at Northern Illinois University (IRB# HS24-0094).<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Your participation in this research will involve
<u>two semi-structured interviews</u> (an initial and a follow-up). The initial interview will last an hour, and the follow-up will last no more than 30 minutes.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">To be eligible for the study: <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">· You are a current
<b>master’s-level student</b> in a CACREP-accredited program. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">· You have begun your graduate program at the
<b>age of 40 or more</b> and identify yourself as a <b>nontraditional student</b>. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"> <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">You will receive a <b><u>$30 Amazon gift card</u></b> as compensation for participating in this study. The compensation will be given after you complete two individual interviews. However, compensation will
be provided reasonably prorated even if you withdraw from the study before completing all the required data collection processes.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
