<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">This is an exceptional article, framing a national perspective on who and what we are as a Profession.  I believe that the Duncan, Hatwiig-Moorhead & Fernandez article can  serve as a “Call to Action” to our
 Profession..   As they point out in their article, we tend to be the only profession that has porous boundaries when it comes to who can train our emerging professionals, and who can qualify for our license.  The erosion of our professional identity is the
 pathway to the demise of the Counseling Profession.  We are very fortunate to have Dr. Christine Bhat as our incoming President-Elect of ACA beginning July 1.  I am confident that she will have as a major pillar of her tenure
<i>Professional Counselor Identity</i> and what that means in terms of our future as a viable behavioral health profession. So glad you will be leading the charge for us Chris.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
