<span>The purpose of the National Council on Rehabilitation Education (NCRE) is to promote the improvement of rehabilitation services available to people with disabilities through quality education and research.

<span>Dr. William “Bill” Downey Scientific Poster Presentation Award Fund</span><br>
<span>Dr. Bill Downey was a Professor in the Rehabilitation Counseling in the Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies at The University of Arizona – the very same department where he completed his PhD in 1979. Bill dedicated his life to the field
of rehabilitation counseling and provided his expertise and passion in various capacities for over 35 years. Inspired by his commitment to recognize research by students, NCRE established the Dr. William “Bill” Downey Scientific Poster Presentation Award to
annually support students to attend the NCRE training conference to interact with rehabilitation educators and professionals.</span><br>

<span>The Lead Review Team will select the top 3 Scientific Poster Proposals submitted by a Student Member of NCRE for the July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020 year to be considered for the Award. More details on eligibility, requirements, selection process, and the
