Subject: Percussion & Health on Friday, March 1st - Fun Learning Opportunity!

Hi everyone,

I am attaching a flyer for a fun event hosted by Ohio University's Music Therapy Department this
Friday, March 1st from 9:40 to 11:40 AM. However, I will post the details here as well.

On Friday, guest lecturer and board-certified music therapist Bill Matney will be leading a series of sessions regarding percussion and health, as well as percussion in music therapy. He is an Assistant Professor for the University of Kansas School of Music's
music therapy program. His research and publications largely focus on the use of percussion in music therapy. The first session from 9:40-11:40 is open to all students and professors. It will be hosted in Glidden Hall 101. In case you don't know where
this is, it is very close to McCracken. Just walk behind the dance building (on the right) and go into the back doors of Glidden (School of Music). Once you go in, turn to the right and that is Room 101. It will be pretty obvious where the session is taking
place.

I hope you can make it. I will be there, so that's at least one friendly face! As a student of both Counselor Education and Music Therapy, I hope that there are many more opportunities to share learning experiences that may be pertinent to both programs
in the future.
