<span style="font-size:14.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Growing demographic changes among clients served in the field of rehabilitation substantiates the need to incorporate cultural competencies into practice. Recent revisions (2017, 2010) of
the Code of Professional Ethics for Rehabilitation Counselors offer guidelines for culturally appropriate conduct and ethical decision-making. Participants will review Code revisions and engage in small group discussions of case studies involving cultural/diversity
issues. </span></p>

<span style="font-size:14.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Given that every individual is unique in their determination and definition of what is right and wrong, participants will complete a self-assessment to determine their unique ethical profiles.
Individual results will be interpreted along four dimensions. Small group discussions will relate ethical philosophies and cultural influences. As highlighted in their profiles, participants will consider how their personal values may impact their practice
based on their perceptions of clients and others whose perspectives may differ.</span></p>
