<p><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Association of Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD) is accepting applications for the 2017 Mentoring Program. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">There are two types of applications being accepted for the mentoring program:
<br>
<br>
1. Graduate counseling students (masters or doctoral level); and <br>
2. New professional (applicants that have graduated and been working in the profession no more than 3 years).<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Selected applicants will receive registration reimbursement for the upcoming conference and a ticket to the AMCD Luncheon. Selected mentees will serve as volunteers for the various AMCD sponsored events at the
upcoming ACA conference in San Francisco, CA in March 2017. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">For consideration, applicants must: (a) be AMCD members by January 27, 2017 (b) forward a letter of support from a current AMCD member, and (c) submit a research proposal that includes
a clear rationale for the proposed study that mirrors a multicultural issue reflected in the mission and goals of AMCD.
<strong><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Selected research proposals will be presented in a poster presentation at the Mentoring Program Research Symposium held at the annual Mentoring Program Meeting during the ACA conference in San Francisco</span></strong>.

Applications are to include a cover sheet that includes full name, institutional affiliation or organization affiliation, and applicant status (masters level, doctoral level, new professional). Graduate students must also submit a letter from their advisor
verifying graduate student status. Application materials must be <em><b><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">received</span></b></em> by midnight (Eastern Time) on January 27, 2017 to the AMCD Mentoring Program Committee Chair, Dr. Taunya Tinsley,
