The College of Education at the University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a full-time tenure track professor of Human Development and Family Studies at the assistant level to begin July 1, 2016.</p>

The responsibilities include expertise in Family Studies to teach a 2+3 semester-based course load in courses related to family studies/development; engage in an ongoing, focused research program which results in scholarly publications and funded grants; and
contribute to professional, university, and community service. Courses to be taught can be negotiable, depending on the strengths of the applicant. Examples of family courses currently offered include, Introduction to Families, Family Resource Management,
Family Interaction, Children and Families in a Multiethnic Society, Family Life Education, Families and Public Policy, Contemporary Family Issues, and Family Theories. Teaching responsibilities include a share of the advisement duties to the program’s master’s
students.</p>
