We seek to hire a highly motivated faculty member with an earned doctorate in a counseling-related discipline for our masters level rehabilitation counseling and mental health counseling programs. The University at Buffalo is one of only 62 research-intensive institutions in the Association of American Universities, and faculty are primarily expected to be stellar researchers and scholars. We are particularly interested in applicants who will contribute to the Rehabilitation Counseling (CORE Accredited) Program, with a CRC certification, a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, or LMHC and can contribute to the Graduate School of Education’s strategic strength in Family-School Societal Transitions. We wish to hire an Assistant Professor who has an emerging body of research in the area of family-school transitions. Ideally, this person would focus on research issues related to helping families, especially those with children with disabilities from high school to post-secondary school or careers. Responsibilities include research and teaching required courses within the on-campus and online rehabilitation counseling and mental health counseling programs.
