She was diagnosed as an adolescent with bipolar disorder when that disorder in children and adolescents was not widely recognized. Her experiences and those of other friends and family with serious mental illness inspired her to specialize in research concerning childhood and adolescent bipolar disorder. Her research focuses on evidence based treatments for that segment of the population and how to implement them in community mental health centers. She has worked at OSU Harding Hospital in the Childhood Mood Disorders Lab for two years on several studies advancing the current knowledge base regarding that phenomenon. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Approved for 1.5 CEUs and for Athens Public Schools continuing education credits. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Thomas W.
