The Division of Counseling and School Psychology at Alfred University invites
applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Counseling, beginning
August 2013. We seek motivated, generous, and self-aware applicants with a good
sense of humor and the potential for excellence in teaching, scholarly activity,
and graduate-student advising. Qualified applicants will have a doctoral degree
in Counselor Education (ABD candidates will be considered). The successful
candidate will be responsible for teaching core and specialized courses in the
Master’s degree School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health counseling tracks.
Applicants with particular preparation, interest, or experience in school
counseling are especially encouraged to apply.
Founded in 1836 and nestled between the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains and
the Finger Lakes wine region in western New York State, Alfred University is a
small comprehensive private university. It is situated on a sprawling 232 acre
campus where nearly 2,000 undergraduate and 300 graduate students reside in a
vibrant, student-centered learning community. The Division of Counseling and
School Psychology offers graduate programs leading to NYS certification as a
School Counselor and NYS Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, as well as
state and national certification as a School Psychologist and NYS Licensed
Psychologist. The School Psychology programs are approved by NASP and
accredited by APA, and the Counseling program is seeking CACREP accreditation.

course evaluations where available, and names titles and contact information for
