<div class="MsoNormal">The Department of Educational Psychology and Special Services invites applications for a tenure-track nine-month Assistant/Associate Professor position in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Education beginning spring 2013 or fall 2013, depending on applicant’s availability. Applicants will be expected to take a leadership role and teach in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. Additional teaching assignments will be based on the candidate’s experience and expertise. The successful candidate will assume a range of responsibilities including the following: (1) teaching graduate level courses, including online instruction; (2) developing a sustained program of research and scholarship; (3) participating in broad-based university, college, and departmental committee work and professional service; (4) advising students, and (5) supervising students’ field experiences. Teaching in summer school is generally available. </div>

Much of the College’s innovative work is supported by large grants from the U.S. Department of Education, National Science Foundation, and the Carnegie Foundation. The College offers a high level of technical support, generous start-up package, and mentoring for new faculty. </span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal"><b>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: </b>Applicants should have the following: (1) an earned doctorate in Counselor Education or closely related field (ABD considered but PhD must be completed before employment); (2) experience in community mental health counseling or equivalent; (3) evidence of teaching effectiveness in graduate level courses; (4) evidence of a sustainable program of scholarship and research; (5) ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and professionals.<b><span style="font-family: ;"></span></b></div>

<div class="MsoNormal"><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: </b>Active participation in appropriate professional organizations; licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or equivalent; familiarity with CACREP accreditation process. </div>
