The department currently offers three CACREP-accredited graduate programs: Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and Pastoral Counseling. Applicants should demonstrate a professional interest and teaching experience in the following areas: research, testing and assessment, multicultural counseling, skill development, and counseling theories. Applicants will be expected to teach courses in the Ed.D. program. Candidates should also hold certification with NBCC, and demonstrate evidence of a research agenda or a clear potential for scholarly activities. Preference will be given to applicants from a CACREP-accredited program, documented clinical experience in the field of mental health counseling, and active professional involvement with NBCC and/or ACA. A commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, as well as a commitment to service is essential.
