Evidence of successful teaching experience in Counselor Education is required. Candidates must also have post-masters experience in one of the following areas: school counseling or community/clinical mental health counseling. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a licensed clinical professional counselor or a licensed professional counselor in the State of Illinois as well as exhibit potential for scholarly activities.<br><br><br>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: We are particularly interested in candidates with work experience as a school counselor or demonstrated interest in school counseling. The ability to work collaboratively in research/scholarly activities is also important. A strong background in the areas of clinical teaching and supervision is preferred.<br><br><br>RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a Unit A (Tenure-track) full-time, nine month position in Counselor Education. Teaching assignments include supervision of practicum and internship experiences for master’s level graduate students in both CACREP accredited School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling specialty tracks. Assignments also include the advisement of graduate students. Scholarly/professional activity is expected, as well as active collaboration with a multidisciplinary faculty.
