Earned doctorate in counselor education with a background in <span style='letter-spacing:-.15pt'>one of the counselor education program areas offered by the department, i.e. clinical mental health counseling; college counseling; marriage, couple and family counseling; or school counseling. </span>Applicants with demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research, scholarly activity and experience integrating technology into teaching, distance learning or other emerging information technologies are desired. <span style='letter-spacing:-.15pt'>Candidates should have sufficient interest and/or experience teaching graduate core foundational courses in counselor education along with teaching experience and competence to teach specialization courses in one of the counselor education program areas offered by the department, i.e. clinical mental health counseling; college counseling; marriage, couple and family counseling; or school counseling. </span>Applicants must be graduates of CACREP accredited programs. Preference for individuals with experience as a counselor educator with teaching, advising and training experience in a counselor education program who are eligible for licensure as a professional counselor in Michigan.
