Faculty in the Division of Counseling and Educational Psychology (CEP) deliver an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited Ph.D. program in Counseling Psychology, and Educational Specialist and Master’s programs in Counseling and Guidance. The Master’s program has emphasis areas in school, couples and family, mental health, and gerontological counseling. The Educational Specialist has emphasis areas in school counseling and general mental health. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The individuals selected for the positions will join a collaborative and dedicated faculty who emphasize excellence in education at all levels in the context of the School of Education’s commitment to urban schools and healthy urban communities. We seek individuals whose interests and expertise fit with our School’s emphasis on diversity and social justice; skills and teaching experience in psychological assessment are highly desirable. One of these appointments may be filled by an individual with interests in School Counseling, with particular emphasis on interventions in urban school settings. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The scholars filling these position will conduct and establish research and publication programs in areas of interest consistent with our Division’s philosophy; participate in program development and innovation; teach undergraduate and graduate courses in counseling; advise graduate students; supervise doctoral students’ research; participate actively in local, state, and national professional organizations; and contribute to the service missions of the School of Education and the university.
