The position requires a terminal degree and is a 9-month, tenure-track appointment with possible summer employment opportunities, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. <br><br><b>Required Qualifications:</b> <br>· Earned doctorate in Counselor Education by August 1, 2012. <br>· The ability to teach graduate courses on- and off-campus and offer graduate advisement. <br>· The ability to conduct scholarly research, publish, and perform service. <br>· Background in professional school counseling. <br>· Demonstrated commitment to cross-cultural curricula. <br>· The ability to work with diverse student populations. <br>· The ability to use and model technology. <br>· Effective communication and leadership skills. <br>· Minimum of 2 years experience as a professional school counselor in an elementary, middle, or high school.<br><br><b>Preferred Qualifications: <br></b>· Graduate of a CACREP accredited program in counseling. <br>· Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating an ASCA Model (RAMP) developmental school counseling program. <br>· Active professional membership in ASCA and state school counseling associations. <br>· Successful external grant writing. <br>· Experience teaching using distance education technology. <br>· Licensure eligibility as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia.<br>· Experience teaching via distance education<br><br>Screening of applications begins October 15, 2011 and continues until the position is filled.
