The primary responsibility is to provide drop-in, individual, and group career counseling sessions that focus on a wide variety of career development topics including career decision making, job/internship search strategies, and applying to graduate school. Typically requires a Master’s degree in Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology, Student Personnel/Student Affairs or higher, plus three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification or LPC eligible in the State of Pennsylvania is strongly preferred. The Counselor must be skilled at psychosocial assessment and interpersonal counseling, demonstrate multicultural competence, and be grounded in both career and personal development theory.
