Assistant/Associate Professor in Rehabilitation Counseling

Education (CARE) invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track
assistant/associate professor position in Rehabilitation Counseling (R97585-
01).

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is a full-time, nine-month faculty
appointment in the Department of Counseling, Adult and Rehabilitation
Education (CARE). The Rehabilitation Counseling program is a high enrollment;
online CORE accredited Master’s Degree with six full time program faculty
members. Responsibilities include developing and teaching online graduate
courses in Rehabilitation and/or counseling; advising graduate students;
supervising clinical experiences; working cooperatively with rehabilitation
organizations and agencies; serving on department, college and university
committees; and engaging in other service and research activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: An earned doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling,
Rehabilitation, Counseling or a related field. ABD may be considered, though
degree must be completed by position start date. CRC or Certified
Rehabilitation Counselor-eligible.
Preferred Qualifications: Arkansas LPC or eligibility, work experience as a
rehabilitation counselor, demonstrated excellence (or potential) in teaching,
scholarship, and service; strong interpersonal skills; online teaching
experience; experience in academic program development helpful;
knowledgeable of national trends in Rehabilitation Counseling; and, services
and grant writing experience.
